For employees who retired before August 1, 2006 and those previously in classes 104 and 109 – and who were 50 or older with 10 or more years of service on July 31, 2006 or had 25 years or more of continuous service on July 31, 2006.

Amount of insurance – under age 65	100% of annual salary immediately prior to date of retirement (rounded to the next higher $100 if not already a multiple of 100)
Maximum	$100,000
Reduction of amount of insurance	*Reductions are effective on your birthday
– at age 65*	– 50% less than amount of insurance for insureds under age 65, min. $10,000
– at age 70*	– 75% less than amount of insurance for insureds under age 65, min. $10,000
